It’s Manuals Monday! Every Monday we feature an excerpt from a graphics standards manual from the archives.
Today’s manual is for American car manufacturer, Ford Motor Company, from 1969 and was designed by Unimark International. When Unimark International was founded in 1965, they were very interested in landing the Ford account. Well, they did it! Unimark even opened an office in Detroit which focused almost exclusively on Ford.
The manual introduction says:
“In an increasingly competitive climate, it is essential that the Company present a unified, attractive and readily recognizable appearance in all its visual communications.
